Duo Nagai-Weitzel

Chie Nagai and Joshua Weitzel work together since 2011. Their duo combines improvised music with site-specific sound performance, often working with the specific resonances and properties of places. They also combine a variety of contrasting materials from european classical music, Japanese music, elementary music pedagogy, and experimental music. The duo often invites other musicians to work with them and has performed with, among others, Akira Sakata, Toshimaru Nakamura, Taku Sugimoto, Ken Ikeda and Ryota Saito.
