Joshua maintains working irregularly as an art mediator - the profession he is originally trained in, holding an MA in ‘Education in Arts and Cultural Settings’ from King’s College London. He also works as a curator on the intersection of visual, conceptual and auditory arts by conceptualising, planning and organising exhibitions, performances or concerts. Joshua considers mediating, curating and research inseparable parts of his artistic work. Often, Joshua occupies several of these roles - curator, researcher, mediator, installation artist, and musician together with others in a team to set up projects.

He also writes about art mediation, with a special focus on art mediation regarding sound art. In 2022 and 2023, he held a ‘curatorial teaching assignment’ with the course ‘Art Mediation and Sonic Turn’ at the University of Paderborn.

Currently, he is a PhD Student at the Edinburgh College of Art, writing about the history of sound art at documenta exhibitions.
